My Wife and I had the distinct privilege of working with Kelli Haakenson as our agent on our home and ranch purchase in Temecula Valley, CA. We have never had a better experience and I encourage anyone looking to work with the ‘Best Agent, it is our honor to recommend Kelli. If one word comes to mind to describe Kelli, it would be 'Trust'. Which doesn't come easy these days, but Kelli earned it, maintained it, and now writing this letter it is out of extreme respect and gratitude that we recommend Kelli to anyone looking for an Agent they can trust 100% with one of the biggest and most impactful,  commitments of their life.

The home we had been renting in Huntington Beach was contaminated with mold and formaldehyde, and unbeknownst to us until late 2017, was the reason for us becoming so ill. It was so bad for my Wife that she literally had to live in the backyard from October – January of 2018. So, the move out of that location was not only an imperative, but it couldn't happen fast enough. We found this amazing home on a mountain ranch in Temecula Valley and wanted to go look at it – realizing that it is likely one of many homes that we would do so. Well, we contacted Kelli, on a high recommendation from another person I know well, she met us there on short notice and the rest is history -- we looked at exactly one home – this one we bought with Kelli's help.

Kelli understood the urgency of our situation and was the catalyst for getting it moving and getting it done.
The Sellers were on  vacation in another state and the Listing agent was non-existent - at one point we weren't even sure if he was a real person. But Kelli was able to get it moving right away. She was so compassionate and understanding of our situation and you could tell she wouldn't let this fail. She was extremely proactive about everything - getting us  with the lender, inspections, etc., and was able to place an offer on the home we had found, almost immediately. She understood the 'rush' and was on top of it every single day. Always providing us updates, ensuring the DocuSign process was in check and everything was meticulously reviewed, hoping for an early close. Honestly, I had remembered my first home buying process being stressful and ugly – that was certainly not the case working with Kelli, She actually made the process enjoyable and exciting.

We could not have asked for a better experience. Kelli is 'all-in' every time, 100% on making things happen on-time, in-check and keeping you fully informed on everything in the process. It had been 23 years since I bought my last home, so I had forgotten much - Kelli was always there to educate or advise and always had good answers, to our sometimes-difficult questions. Always optimistic and kind, Kelli really showed that quality of character, high integrity, compassion  knowledge is a powerful combination. We are so thankful for her. We feel honored to have even had her over to visit months after moving in just to get a chance to sit and talk with her. What an amazing person and we are sure you will feel the same.

In early 2018, God called our family to relocate from Denver, Colorado to Southern California. We weren't quite sure why or what the experience would hold. After living in Colorado for six years, we made the decision to return to Orange County to be closer to our family. God had been good to us in Colorado, and we were starting to develop real community, but we were isolated from loved ones. In the months that followed, we had to sell a house in one state, buy one in another, find a good school district, and a new community that aligned with our desires and vision for where we were called. Initially, we were connected with a different realtor and would soon regret the experience. We purchased a home that had been "prepared" for the market. Underneath the veneer of fresh paint were home problems that were not disclosed to us in good faith. We came to find out that there were much deeper problems; both with the home and the relationship with our first real estate agent. After exiting the transactions and releasing the first broker, we connected with Kelli through a hospital colleague of Dustin's. She took the time to understand our story, arrange meaningful showings and deliver an experience centered around our needs. We ultimately purchased a beautiful home in a historic part of Huntington Beach.

Kelli didn't stop there. A few months later, Christine was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. It was a very trying time for us, especially with Christine finishing a job in Denver. Kelli walked beside us, became a friend, and took care of us throughout the journey. We are glad to call her a friend and would not have been able to start this new chapter in our story without her help. She is the best at what she does, and her wealth of experience will not disappoint anyone who gets to work with her.
